I have never had any issues with the app or printer. I use it daily for work and the kids for school and coloring pages! I find that as long as you keep the software updated as automatically requested on the physical printer, it functions well. We print great quality pictures, holiday family postcards, business cards and thank you notes. The only thing is you have to select ok on the physical unit to confirm sizing for different items."

The photo option is terrible, pictures are great but the app's ability to operate the printer is slow the unit is ready to print but you have to wait an extended period of time to print the next picture. (Even though the printer display is ready and sometimes you have to close the app and start over with the next picture. There's also a problem with the app remembering you're using 5x7 instead of 8x11 and you're using photo instead of plain paper. You shouldn't have to reset each print."

The app has a lot of bugs and design flaws. For example, I can't print 2 documents in a row without going back to the app and clicking "ok" on the "document has printed" message from the previous document. It constantly has the message "communicating with the printer, wait momentarily" each time you click on home. Also, printer is indicated as "offline" even when I can print. This app is terrible. It wastes a lot of my time. I would expect better from Canon."
