I was only able to use the app for a short time before it prompted me to pay 59.99 a year for a subscription. Though the lessons are good, the finger signing with the camera can be way too sensitive and fast. When I was trying to do the basic words, for example, my movements of resetting from the last one seemed to register as sign for the next two and I couldn't even see what I was supposed to sign. The videos, while helpful, are quite clunky at times, and need improved as well."

I love this app. it's taught me words I didn't know. the daily lessons are easy to understand. I have issues in the editing of the videos, as sometimes they run into each other so it's hard to tell where the sign starts or ends. I just look it up elsewhere if I'm not getting the information I need here. I'd like more combined sentences...ex: see you later- you don't sign each word separately but it's just a simple hand movement to include all words together"

Effective in teaching ASL: Yes. Could the app be improved?: YES! The graphics look like they're from 2005 and the videos often cut off or blur when they shouldn't. The entire UI is outdated. With just a little sprucing up you could have a solid 5 star app. The other problem for me is the price and payment options. The "free" daily lessons were very short and no longer work anyway so I had to purchase a subscription. The only option was $59.99 for one year. Why not a monthly plan?"
